1)  H&H Design Engineer:

 

We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Senior Professional Engineer, Proficient in Hydrology and Hydraulics.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform H&H design and consulting services for private and public projects ranging in size from a few acres to hundreds of acres, using latest software packages of HECRAS, HECHMS & Detention Pond Design.
  • Independently develop Roadway Designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Design plans, profiles, elevations, cross sections, details, tables, etc.
  • Convert engineers’ sketches to dimensionally accurate and annotated drawings
  • Translate red line mark-ups onto existing drawings

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 10 -15 years of relevant experience
  • Experience using the latest versions of AutoCAD software including applying workspace standards.
  • Have basic knowledge of Transportation Projects including but not limited to Roadway drawing production. Knowledge and understand of Utilities, Drainage, Plans, Profiles and Cross sections, and other transportation elements and terminology.
  • Experience working with TxDOT projects

2)   Engineer In Training:

 

Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic site design and infrastructure design using AutoCAD Civil 3d. Duties may include construction site visits for periodic observations, meeting with clients or City officials. Will be required to calculate cost opinions, pipe hydraulics and street geometries.

Job Description

  • Independently performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives
  • Responsible for preparation of feasibility studies and analysis of master planning
  • Responsible for engineering design of water, sanitary, storm sewer, paving and drainage facilities
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and outside consultants as required
  • Participate in the Construction Administration process by responding to RFI’s, reviewing Contractor Submittals, and attending meetings in the field
  • Works well in a team-oriented environment

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Education Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering 
  • 2-4 years experience preferred.
  • Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE)
  • Understanding of governmental public and private development codes and ordinances
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required

3)   Civil Engineer Student Intern:

 

Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic site design and infrastructure design using AutoCAD Civil 3d. Duties may include construction site visits for periodic observations. Establish quantities for opinions of probable cost, pipe hydraulics and street geometries.

Position Requirements

  • Assisting the chief engineer and the project engineers in all aspects associated with all upcoming projects
  • Currently in school working on Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and strong project management skills
  • Interest in storm drainage design (hydraulics, detention analysis, water quality) preferred
  • Experience in AutoCAD software (Autodesk Civil 3D) is preferred
